Seed potatoes: visit of Russian inspectors

On 9 – 13 March, inspectors of the Federal Service for Vetinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor) inspected seed potato lots prepared for export to Russia. The total amount of seed potatoes offered by the Dutch side for this inspection is about 40 thousand tons. Russian experts accompanied by their colleagues from the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) visited more than 15 farms in Groningen, Friesland, Flevoland and Noord Brabant. About one ton of samples has been taken and is to be sent to Russia in the week of 16 March for laboratory analysis. The results are expected in one week and after that the Russian side will consider the possibility to import Dutch seed potato (from the inspected batches)...
